Tyler brings a decade of experience creating advertising that doesn’t look or feel like advertising, having designed and executed numerous memorable marketing campaigns for Diageo, Kohl’s, Meijer, Claire’s among many others. A few of his favorites are: a “Peep Show” in the heart of Times Square for retailer Daffy’s, transforming downtown Chicago into Sleepy Hollow (complete with a fire breathing headless horseman) for Meijer stores and continuing the traditions of the debonair Tony Sinclair, the swinging spokestar of Tanqueray.

When he isn’t working for clients, DeAngelo enjoys developing projects that are inspired by the intersection of creativity and technology; especially ideas that explore how the physical world can be manipulated by online data. Most notable is his 5th Ave Frogger project, a reimagined take on the classic arcade game Frogger. In DeAngelo’s version, the onscreen cars mirror the actual positions of real cars driving down 5th Ave while the game is played. Most recently, Tyler created Buzzed Buzzer, a New Years Eve horn that only emits noise if the horn blower is a little drunk.
In a more analog project, Tyler co-authored “Learn Just Enough to Get Laid,” a humorous, step-by-step guide that serves as a “Dummies Guide” for libatious lads. The book was recently optioned by TBS entertainment as a scripted sitcom.

DeAngelo is also committed to inspiring young creatives. He has been an active teacher and guest lecturer at the Miami Ad School and speaks regularly at creative conferences around the country.

Before joining Havas and moving to Chicago in Summer of 2012, DeAngelo was Integrated Creative Director at New York based creative agency DeVito/Verdi. Before D/V, he was partner at digital think tank Modern Publicity, whose clients included ad agencies Kirshenbaum & Bond, Cliff Freeman, SS&K, Wieden & Kennedy and Grey. Read Less
