Our challenge was to create a brand for News Limited that would help drive employee, supplier and public action on climate change.
The new brand needed to inspire thousands of employees to make real long-term change. We developed One Degree on a simple premise: that if everyone were to change their behavior by just one degree, we can change the planet’s future. Instead of seeking to scare people into change, we focused on empowering them with the information and knowledge to make a tangible difference.
The logo combines both the number and the degree symbol, which together represent a person. The visual language echoes the logo by using News Limited employees along with the degree symbol as the focus for all communications.
The Degree symbol acts as a thought bubble, representing each individual’s idea of One Degree of change, One Degree of effort and One Degree of difference.
