DIA is a branding and creative production studio led by award winning creative director Mitch Paone. DIA’s strengths span the creative spectrum from graphic design and typography to film, animation and musical direction. While the overall process begins with conceptual and strategic branding development the studio employs the full service capabilities to produce projects all the way through to final execution.

Founded in 2008 by Mitch Paone, the Soho based studio has always been dedicated to attracting the finest talent, embodying a cross section of visual and cultural perspectives. With a background in design and music, Paone’s eclectic approach to his own creative development both fuels and directs the overall aesthetic of the studio. Beyond his commercial career, Mitch is the pianist and band leader of the jazz fusion group Non-Static and studying to become a Master of Wine - all aspects of his personality that bring a unique and distinctly well-rounded vision to the work that DIA creates.

DIA’s process always starts with an extensive research phase which provides a comprehensive understanding for client strengths and needs. By diminishing any obstacles that might preclude the creative process, DIA can envision focused creative, catered to the specific project while always maintaining benchmark quality execution. As a result, the work answers the client’s challenge with a creative direction that supports the messaging and functionality of the project. This practice allows the studio’s work to be continually successful on a commercial level while simultaneously maintaining its sense of artistic integrity.

Since DIA's inception they have produced work for companies such as Nokia, Nike, Nissan, DIRECTV, PNC Bank, and Microsoft among many others. In 2011 DIA was a One Show Finalist in the Design Broadcast Single Category for Journey To Zero film, “Anticipation." Additionally, Paone was named the Art Directors Club Young Guns 8 in 2010, was awarded the Best Typography Award for his work on "Cartoon Network Elijah" at INSPIRE 2008, and has been featured in various design publications including IDN, Die Gestalten Verlag, Victionary and GOOD magazine.
